The responsiblities and duties of the Stratford Town Council include:

Avon Mooring	Provides and maintains a river mooring, used by the Stratford-upon-Avon Sea Cadets: Avon Mooring Tiddington Road Stratford-upon-Avon

Cemeteries	Provision and maintenance of Burial Grounds: Stratford-upon-Avon Cemetery Evesham Road Stratford-upon-Avon

Clocks Provision	Provision and maintenance of public clocks: The American Fountain Rother Street Stratford-upon-Avon

Churchyards	Duty to maintain any closed churchyard where the duty has been transferred by the Church of England: Holy Trinity Church Old Town Stratford-upon-Avon

Crime Prevention	Supports the installation of equipment and establishment of schemes for the detection or prevention of crime

Dog Hygiene Bins	Provision of dog hygiene bins in streets and open spaces

Garden of Remembrance	Duty to maintain the: Garden of Remembrance Old Town Stratford-upon-Avon

Grants and Initiatives	Financially supports whenever possible, specific initiatives or events that will benefit the town

Litter Bins	Provision of litter bins in streets

Planning	Town/Parish Councils have a right to be notified of any planning application affecting their area and to make comments which the planning authority must take into account.

Seats	Provision and maintenance of public seats on the highway.

Shelters	Provision and maintenance of shelters for general public use and also particularly for bus passengers.

Signage	Supports the erection of signs of general information or warning to the public. Responsible for the naming of new streets.

Town Hall	Provision of buildings for public meetings or functions, or for the use of clubs and societies having recreational or social objectives: Town Hall Sheep Street Stratford-upon-Avon

War Memorials	Duty to maintain the the 1st and 2nd World War Memorials within the Garden of Remembrance and the Alveston War Memorial

	Refuse and Recycling
