Community Interests:
Diane and her family have lived in many parts of the country but returned and settled in Warwickshire in the late 1980’s where both her boys attended local schools before leaving for universities in Cardiff and Edinburgh. Living first in Bearley and then Wilmcote, Diane took an active interest in village life and particularly enjoyed becoming Chair of the PTA. When her children left home in 2004 she moved to Stratford-upon-Avon making her home on Trinity Mead.
Working within the town for so long has given Diane a unique insight into the ongoing needs of the town – a place in which she is proud to live and work, She is very aware and shares many of the concerns of people who live, work, shop and use the town’s leisure facilities.
Thus, Diane decided to stand for Council and was duly elected in 2010. She now serves on the Town Council’s General Purposes Committee and the Finance and Scrutiny Committee as well as being part of the Heritage Open Days working party. She is looking forward to working hard on behalf of the residents in her Ward and for the good of the town as a whole.
Leisure Activities
Diane loves visiting her boys in their chosen cities and travelling generally. Her work in book shops feeds her passion for reading and she also very much enjoys her garden. |
