Liberal Democrat for Avenue and Newtown since 2002

Donna originally joined the Town Council in 1995, where she became Chairman of the Millennium Committee, instrumental in the updating of the public library.  She lost her seat in 1999 but regained it in 2002 and was returned again in May 2006 and served as Mayor in 2007/08

Cllr Barker was born in Sutton, Surrey in 1941.  She married Gerry in 1966 and their first child, Sarah was born a year later.  Within eight months they moved to Hertfordshire where their son, Nicholas was born.  They are now the proud grandparents of Shoshana.

Maureen Beckett
Liberal Democrat for Avenue and Newtown since 1992

Yorkshire born Maureen Beckett has settled happily in Stratford-upon-Avon having lived here for twenty years.  She is married to Keith and has two daughters, Maia and Nicola and is now a proud grandmother.

Joining the Town Council in 1992, she is the longest serving member and received the honorary title of ‘Senior Councillor’.  Maureen was extremely proud to become the Worshipful, the Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon in 1998.

Independent for Avenue and Newtown since 1999

Councillor Keith Lloyd was born in the Ruthin, North Wales.  He moved to Stratford-upon-Avon in 1974 and married his wife Elaine in 1989. They have five children, four boys and one girl.
 
Career History:
Keith has been in purchasing throughout his career.   Until recently, he was a senior buyer for a local automotive supplier manufacturer near Stratford.

Independent for Avenue and Newtown since 2000

Councillor Lowe, known as Bill is married to Anne.  They have four children and four grandchildren; Thomas, Louise, Lydia and Isobel.  Bill and Anne lived in Stratford-upon-Avon for five years during the 70’s, having returned in 1988 they have lived here ever since.

Career History:
Councillor Lowe has worked in local government since 1956 covering horticulture, landscape gardening, engineering and leisure centre operations.

Juliet Dorothy Short
Conservative for Avenue and Newtown since 1999

Juliet was born and bred in Stratford and was educated at Stratford High School, Warwickshire College and Bath University. She married John in 1979 and has grown-up twins, Scott and Kerry.

Career History:
Juliet was Deputy Head of Brandwood School, Birmingham prior to leaving full time employment to bring up the twins and start her own successful businesses in Stratford and surrounding area.
