Catriona (known as Kate) Dill-Russell
Kate is a “Maid of Kent” – she was born in Folkestone, Kent. However, just before she was 2 the family moved to Stratford upon Avon, where she has lived ever since. She and her three brothers were all educated locally, and Kate spent two years at college in Cheltenham.
Career History:
For many years Kate has been employed by a local charity, Stratford Mencap, as a social support worker. She works across several houses in the town supporting adults who have severe learning disabilities. She works on a shift system, sometimes sleeping overnight in one of the houses to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the residents.
Community Interests:
Kate has supported her mother, who has been a Councillor on both District and County over many elections over the past 20 years, so is not new to the work of different councils. The highlight of this experience came when her mother was elected to be Chair of Warwickshire County Council in May 2003, and Kate was her consort for the year. |
