William John Dowling

Councillor Bill Dowling was born and bred in Stratford-upon-Avon, growing up with his brother and five sisters. 

He attended St Gregory’s Primary School and Warwick School before going on to University College London.

Bill has a son, Joshua and for many years has lived with his partner Marion, in Evesham Place.

Career History:

Bill worked for the Phillips Corporation all over the world, returning to Stratford-upon-Avon in 1995 and is now a taxi and Guest House proprietor.

Community Interests:

Councillor Dowling is the Chairman of the Planning and Consultative Committee and serves on the Finace and Scrutiny Committee.

Leisure Activities

Bill has always been a keen local sportsman, and allegedly is the only one to have represented the Town at rugby, cricket and football at first team level.  He is now a keen golfer, whenever he can find the time.
