John Bicknell

Councillor John Bicknell moved to Stratford-upon-Avon in 1992 and became actively involved in local politics as a member of the Liberal Democrat party.

Career History:
After graduating in Business Studies, John has pursued a career in management accountancy and is currently a fellow of the ACCA.

Community Interests:
John was first appointed to the Town Council representing Mount Pleasant Ward in 2002 and was re-elected in 2006 and returned again in 2010.  His background in accountancy enables Councillor Bicknell to make a significant contribution to the Town Council’s Finance Committee on which he serves.  John also sits on the General Purposes Committee.

He is keenly interested in environmental issues.

Leisure Activities
Aside from business and politics, John’s interests include walking, creative writing and a “strange fascination” for non-league football.
