Chapel Lane Stratford-upon-Avon Footway works

Starting on Monday 13 February, 2012 Warwickshire County Council Highways are to renew the sections of brick footway that were not refurbished as part of the Waterside project.  The works are relatively minor and will bring all the Chapel Lane footways up to a similar standard as the section outside the RST offices, so new blue brick paving and new dark stone kerbs (new but in character with what is there now).  Some of the materials that are taken up are to be recycled as part of the project.

The work has been planned around the school half term break to help to minimise disruption and the road will be closed to vehicles for the first week, but pedestrian access maintained.  Access to the Hotel and RST will be from Waterside.  

The work will take 2 - 3 weeks to complete and should result in a safer, more uniform footway and with a more pronounced kerb face, should reduce the problem of parking partly in the footway.

The audit of the Council's accounts for the year ending 31st March 2011 has now been concluded.

The Statement of Accounts and the Annual Return are available for inspection by members of the public. Copies are available for download from this webpage, or by visiting the Town Hall between the hours of 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 4pm, Monday to Friday.

How to register as a speaker at a Town Council Planning Consultative Committee meeting

Should you wish to speak on a particular planning application, you must register with the Planning Clerk (Sue Taylor) by 12.00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the Town Council’s Planning Consultative Committee meeting which is normally held on a Tuesday evening.  This can either be by email or in writing.

Alternatively, and by the same deadline, you can contact  Sue on 01789 269332.

You will need to register your name, address, daytime telephone details along with the planning application reference number when you phone/write.  Additionally, you need to clarify if you wish to speak in support of, or in objection to the application.
